The primary purpose of the organizational unit

The Department of Athletics aims to provide educational and athletic opportunities for young men and women, to provide an environment for student-athletes to learn, advance and excel academically and athletically, and to serve the interests of the university by complementing and enhancing its diversity and quality of life. Through its athletic programs, the university seeks to unite alumni, faculty, administration, and students in a shared common experience. The unit of administration within the Athletics Department is the Office of the Director, which is the administrative office and clearinghouse for the entire Athletics Department, and promotes the department’s guiding principle of educating and inspiring through athletics. This unit provides support to directors, coaches, staff and student-athletes to provide and enhance an outstanding intercollegiate athletic program for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The Athletics Department is a highly visible public relations arm of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, receiving national, state and international recognition.

Position summary

The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Digital Assets Manager and Photographer in the Athletic Department’s Creative Services Unit. This position reports to the Assistant Athletic Director for Creative Services.

Minimum education and experience requirements

High school diploma or equivalent and one year of experience related to the area of ​​assignment in a television, radio, and emerging media broadcast environment; Or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Required qualifications, competencies and experience

Ability to capture and manage images’ content United Nations Command Sports events, working closely with United Nations Command Communications and creativity team to understand expectations.

Preferred qualifications, competencies and experience

Knowledge and experience in shooting sporting events is preferred
