Main purpose of the job
This full-time contract position will plan, organize, and oversee the day-to-day operations of a Maryland Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) planning grant. The Maryland CCBHC Planning Grant is an initiative of the Maryland Department of Health to establish uniform requirements for Medicaid-covered services and payments from CCBHCs, in service of the agency’s mission to expand and enhance coordination of care, expand service capacity, and address service gaps in Maryland’s behavioral health system. This position will ensure a collaborative team approach to addressing the mental health and medical needs of clients served and adherence to CCBHC grant guidelines. The position will also ensure the continued development of standards and the sustainability of the CCBHC model. This position will oversee the program-related budget.

education: Graduation from an accredited high school or obtaining a high school equivalency certificate.

Notes:
1. Candidates may substitute 30 credit hours from an accredited college or university for each year for a maximum of four years of required experience.
2. Candidates may substitute a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and one year of experience in an administrative field or professional work for the required experience.
3. Candidates may substitute a master’s degree from an accredited college or university with the required experience.
4. Candidates may substitute military service experience in the United States Armed Forces as a commissioned officer that includes staff work related to the administration of rules, regulations, policies, procedures and operations, supervising or coordinating unit operations or serving as a staff assistant to a senior-ranking officer on an annual basis to obtain the required experience.
Required or preferred qualifications
The desired candidate must possess the following:
- Experience interpreting federal/state legislation and/or regulations.
- Experience in giving oral presentations.
- Experience with Medicaid.
Licenses, registrations and certificates
Employees in this classification may be assigned duties that require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned to these duties will be required to possess a valid Maryland Vehicle Operator’s License.

Contract employees who work for an agency covered by the State Employees and Retirees Health and Welfare Benefits Program, have a current employment contract and work 30 or more hours per week (or an average of 130 hours per month) may be eligible for subsidized health benefits coverage for themselves and their dependents. As a contract employee, you will be responsible for paying 25% of your Medicare coverage premiums and prescriptions, including any qualifying dependents you have enrolled. The state of Maryland will subsidize the remaining 75% of the cost of these benefits. You can also choose to enroll in dental coverage, accidental death and dismemberment insurance, and life insurance, but you will be responsible for paying the full premium for these benefits.
Leave may be granted to a contract employee at a rate of one hour for every 30 hours worked, not to exceed 40 hours in a calendar year.
