About the role

The post holder will be required to contribute to the monitoring and development of contract specifications in relation to the Streets Services Contract and the wider environmental services portfolio including street clearance standards, environmental crime and graffiti removal, reuse and recycling centers and small recycling banks among other services.

Monitor the contractor’s performance on site to ensure that the established street clearing contract standards are met and act under the contract if the standards are not met. This will include monitoring contractors’ health and safety standards as a legal requirement.

The position holder will be responsible for coordinating service complaints regarding street clearing and enforcement issues and liaising with elected members to resolve them.

Candidate profile

• Degree in environmental discipline or waste management qualification (HNC or NVQ score 4) d
• Experience in waste, street disinfection, enforcement, or other related disciplines. e
• A current full UK driving license with access to and use of a vehicle
• Knowledge of current waste management, recycling and street disinfection techniques
• Knowledge of current waste management legislation and street disinfection standards E
• Experience in monitoring environmental services contracts e
• Experience in monitoring contracts for reuse and recycling centers E
• Knowledge of quality management systems e
• Ability to analyze and interpret data and information e
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and contractors verbally and in writing e
• Experience in dealing directly with residents and contractors d
