About the role

We are looking for a Consultant/Senior Environmental Scientist To join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a diverse range of projects while supporting and developing colleagues, building strong client relationships, and contributing to our growing reputation for high quality environmental consultancy.

Although this role is based in our London office, we welcome applications from candidates from across the UK who are interested in working with MKA Ecology, and flexible working arrangements will be considered for the right candidate.

Basic requirements

• Degree in ecology or a closely related subject
• – At least 5 years of experience in the environmental field, including project and line management
• Develop field skills in line with CIEEM competency framework
• Strong knowledge of key environmental legislation and policies
• Excellent report writing and IT skills and experience reviewing reports
• Full and clean driving licence
• CIEEM membership at the appropriate level
• GIS and database management skills
• Experience in building relationships with clients
• Experience in environmental impact assessments

desirable

• Postgraduate qualification in ecology or related subject
• Protected species licenses (bats, GCN, etc.)
• Specialize in ornithology, bats or other protected species/groups
• Recent EPS license holder
• Skills needed to contribute to our growing habitat creation portfolio
• Experience in environmental impact assessment would be desirable.
