Audio sound engineer
House of Blues Orlando (Disney Springs Lake Buena Vista)

Job

What will this role do?
• Loads in & out of range equipment and rents equipment
• Set up and dismantle band and event equipment
• Cabling and debugging/working with the entire crew as one team
• Audio adjustments, maintaining safe volume levels while providing a professional mix
• Operate sound control panels
• Supervising visiting sound technicians, especially during performances
• Responsible for the protection/maintenance and repair of audio equipment
• Assist with production around the house as needed
• Assist the Production Manager with technical progress with artist representatives
• Ensure proper care and handling of all House of Blues equipment and rental audio equipment
• Interact with visiting production crews to ensure a successful show
• Distribute or create audio plans
• Supervise and operate sound related systems throughout the entire venue
• Ensure audio needs for special events are scheduled, met and executed with the utmost professionalism
• Maintain relationship with local and national audio vendors
• Maintenance and repair of sound, light and stage equipment
• The Stage Manager may help pass the show along
• Assist lighting crew with stands, microphones, cables, etc.
• Assist with any operations for special events

What will this person bring?
required:
• Minimum 3 years experience in touring and stage production
• Experience with stage lighting, professional sound systems and basic video systems
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Proficiency in dealing with all Microsoft applications
• Must possess superior interpersonal communication and organizational skills
• Secondary diploma

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds
• Work in an environment with a moderate to high noise level
