Senior Remote Content Marketer (Enterprise/Campaigns) at Animalz

As a Senior Content Marketer at Animalz, you’ll be responsible for implementing and maintaining content strategies for a group of high-growth B2B technology clients on our Enterprise/Campaigns team. You will be responsible for producing compelling, audience-focused content that drives measurable business results.

This isn’t just a writing role. You’ll oversee content pipelines, assign work to freelancers, collaborate on design, and serve as a trusted partner to clients. You’ll work closely with heads of content to translate strategy into action and you’ll work with editors and subject matter experts to ensure everything you ship is thoughtful, useful, and aligned with business outcomes.

What will you do?

  • Implement and maintain content strategies developed by Content Heads, adapting them to evolving client needs and feedback

  • Create high-performing content — blogs, guides, landing pages, emails, and more — that aligns with SEO best practices and customer intent

  • Recruit and manage freelance writers, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of the accounts and strategies you support

  • Collaborate with design to create drawings for various deliverables (create design briefs, explain concepts, etc.)…

  • Audit, update and optimize existing content to improve performance across search, conversion and engagement metrics

  • Manage content calendars and delivery pipelines, balancing quality with high-volume deliverables

  • Create monthly performance reports for clients you manage, communicate key results and insights, and ensure content aligns with client goals and targeted outcomes.

  • Participate in knowledge sharing within the team, and contribute expertise while learning from others in a collaborative environment

  • Contribute to internal initiatives, from researching and piloting new service offerings to improving AI-powered content workflows

  • Analytical thinking: You know how to evaluate content performance using tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and Ahrefs, and how to iterate to get better results.

  • Managing freelancers and the feedback loop: You can assign work to freelancers, effectively communicate client feedback, and ensure deliverables meet account standards while collaborating with editors throughout the process

  • Adaptability: You are comfortable dealing with ambiguity, trying new tools or formats, and adjusting your approach when priorities change

  • Value-based thinking: Optimize long-term impact through short-term gains, and focus on creating solutions for our customers

  • Growth mindset: You invest in your own development and actively bring back ideas that elevate the team’s thinking and output

What we are looking for

  • -4-6 years of content marketing experience, preferably in a B2B SaaS or agency setting

  • Proven ability to implement content strategies that support business goals – traffic, conversions, engagement, or retention

  • Strong customer management skills, including the ability to proactively communicate, manage feedback loops, and build trust across multiple accounts

  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a strong understanding of SEO and narrative clarity

  • Experience assigning work and managing freelance writers in a fast-paced editorial environment

  • Familiarity with AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Cloude) and the ability to use them to enhance, not replace, human editorial quality.

  • Strong proficiency in content tools and analytics platforms (e.g. Google Analytics, Ahrefs, HubSpot, Clearscope)

  • Experience collaborating with other content professionals and helping improve internal processes

  • Excellent communication, organization, and remote collaboration skills

  • Curiosity and commitment to continuous learning in the evolving world of content and content strategy

Your first 90 days

Days 1-30: Learning and integration

  • Complete the onboarding process and master our tools and processes

  • Dig deeper into the customer accounts assigned to you

  • Create your first content deliverables with guidance

  • Build relationships with your team and customers

Days 31-60: Implementation and ownership

  • Take ownership of 1-2 customer accounts

  • Start managing your freelance writers and content calendars

  • Provide first performance reports to clients

  • Contribute to team meetings and internal initiatives

Days 61-90: Leadership effect

  • Implementing special content for 3-4 client accounts

  • Key strategy improvements based on data

  • Share your experience and improve our processes

  • Show measurable improvements in content performance to your customers

Work arrangements

location: Quite remote, anywhere in the world

Time zone requirements: We require at least 4 hours of overlap with US time zones (EST/PST) to collaborate effectively with our team and clients

Compensation and benefits

Salary range: $70,000 – $85,000 per year

This role offers competitive compensation with placement within range based on demonstrated experience, skills, and influence in previous content marketing roles.
