Research Assistant at Queen Mary University of London

About the role

The post holder will join the Center for Preventive Neurology at the Wolfson Institute for Population Health at Queen Mary University of London. The post holder will be expected to work on two major research projects, focusing on multiple sclerosis and dementia and funded by Alzheimers Research UK and the NIHR. They are expected to assist in all aspects of studies, including study coordination, recruitment, sample acquisition and analysis, data entry, and basic data analysis/quality control.

About you

Candidates must have a good grade (first or upper second) in a scientific subject and a broad understanding of the research process. The ideal candidate will also have knowledge of good clinical practice and regulations relating to data protection and security. Experience working with patients and clinical research data would be advantageous.

The Center for Preventive Neurology is at the forefront of international research and brings together a team of experts to conduct revolutionary new research into dementia, multiple sclerosis and Parkinson’s disease. The centers focus on academic discipline, research, translation of research into health strategies and their practical implementation – all dedicated to reducing disease and disability.

The publication is based in Charterhouse Square. It is a full-time (35 hours per week), fixed-term appointment for 12 months. The salary will be Grade 4 at £38,419 – £39,022 per annum, including London Allowance.
