FOX News is looking for a dynamic, organized producer to join its new weekend program The Sunday Brief, which airs Sundays at 11 a.m. ET. The producer will take editorial lead in writing, planning and guest presenting for a show covering all aspects of the White House. You’ll work alongside the best White House correspondents in the industry, pitch compelling story ideas, secure top-notch guests, and collaborate with the rest of the show’s team. As a producer, you have excellent editorial judgment and knowledge of national politics. You write with urgency, style, and concision and deliver substantive news in a high-production environment, while being able to break breaking news quickly.

You will be offered the following shift: Wednesday – Sunday.

Snapshot of responsibilities
• Use your knowledge of current events, national politics and strong editorial judgment to interview newsmakers and media guests
• Lead the booking team for the show
• Actively look for new elements to choose a story, including finding engaging audio, new video, and using strong graphics to help illustrate the story
• Use your control room experience to help execute a smooth on-air show, including coordinating program summaries and communicating effectively with technical staff

What you will need
• 5+ years of political reporting in a radio, print or digital work environment
• An exceptional editorial ruling
• Strong communication and writing skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, and set priorities on a daily basis, especially in breaking news situations
• Flexibility to work different shifts when needed, including regular weekend work
• Willingness to travel when necessary
• Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field of study preferred, or equivalent experience

Per state and local wage disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $83,000.00-$100,000.00 per year. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits according to applicable plan documents. Benefits to union-represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
