About the role:

You will work with our students in small groups, helping them work as a team, identifying learning needs and supporting their professional development. You will provide pastoral support to our students and provide assessments and feedback. You will use your expertise to develop teaching resources and implement best practices. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established team that supports the School of Medicine’s teaching and learning strategy, helping to shape the doctors of the future.

You will facilitate PBL every Tuesday and Friday during term time and contribute to activities that support the course and student experience. Project-based learning (PBL) accommodations are usually delivered in person.

There are two positions available. These are part-time, fixed-term contract positions available until 28/02/2027. This part-time contract is for a total contract period of 43 weeks per year, which includes holiday and 36 fixed working weeks.

About you:

You will have a degree or equivalent experience in a relevant healthcare profession or in a health, life sciences or related specialty. You will have experience as a healthcare or life sciences professional or related teacher and will be able to demonstrate your ability to engage students and inspire them to learn.

Must have excellent communication and organizational skills in enhancing student learning, commitment to medical education and developing future physicians, and willingness to embrace the vision and values ​​of the School of Medicine. You may have experience working with small groups in education or training and experience in interprofessional education, but these are not essential.
