Post-production and visual effects assistant job details | Lionsgate

Position summary

Lionsgate has an immediate opening for an Assistant in the Post Production and Visual Effects departments. This position requires a talented individual who can juggle multiple administrative and technical responsibilities at the same time.

Responsibilities
• Support heads of post-production and visual effects by scheduling calls, managing calendars, handling requests, and assisting with other department tasks
• Create and maintain project calendars, Airtable, Monday.com, and Box folders
• Create, track and manage shipments of HDD, LTO and assets from the beginning of production through project delivery
• Create and maintain editor lists
• Act as a liaison to agencies
• Serve as liaison to publishing teams across all Lionsgate offerings
• Handling invoice requests
• Create and manage project folders on Flow Capture and Box
• Editorial staff is on board for every show
• Manage dailies and cut distribution to the studio
• Take notes on visual effects reviews
• Building, organizing and maintaining production databases
• Supervising the production of visual and editorial effects
• Archive of editing and visual effects assets

Qualifications and skills
• Organized, reliable, detail-oriented, technologically savvy with a desire to learn
• Show interest in visual effects
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and accept constructive criticism
• Strong, reliable, mature, professional work ethic and positive attitude required

Nice to have
• Familiarity with dailies streaming platforms, including Autodesk Flow Capture and PIX
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
• Knowledge of Aspera, FTP, SFTP, Autodesk (Shotgrid) and CineSync production tracking protocols
• Experience in project management
• Familiarity with the workflow
• Familiarity with production reports, budgets and schedules
• Interest in bringing about positive changes in the industry
