Florida State University in London is seeking a Teacher in Statistics

Florida State University is seeking an instructor to teach an undergraduate course in Applied Statistics at its London Study Center in Bloomsbury for Spring 2026. The term runs from January 8 to April 23, 2026. Teaching is face-to-face and classes begin on Monday, January 12. Classes meet once a week in a 3-hour block, on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. Class size typically ranges from 10 to 20 students.

STA2122 Introduction to Applied Statistics is a 3-credit course in the Department of Statistics targeting humanities and social sciences majors with a “minimal background in mathematics.” To enroll, students must have completed basic college algebra, but most will not have any advanced mathematics. The course covers normal distributions, sampling variance, confidence intervals, hypothesis testing, one-way and two-way analysis of variance, correlation, simple and multiple regression, contingency tables and chi-square tests, and non-parametric statistics.

The ideal candidate will have a PhD in Statistics (or a related field) and university teaching experience. Some knowledge of college education in the United States is desirable. More information about our program can be found at www.international.fsu.edu/london.
