| The primary purpose of the organizational unit | The mission of the School of Social Work is to advance equity, transform systems, and improve lives. The school’s curriculum supports the mission and recognizes the uniqueness of the area it serves, including concerns for disadvantaged, vulnerable and oppressed individuals, families and communities. Classes provide rigorous, evidence-based content and give students the opportunity to explore theory, learn intervention skills, and engage in challenging dialogue with colleagues. |
| Position summary | The College of Social Work hires part-time adjunct faculty intermittently during the academic year and/or summer sessions to teach one or more courses in MSW or doctoral programmes. Curriculum, programs, and content areas determine teaching needs. |
| Minimum education and experience requirements | A master’s degree in social work or related field is required. |
| Preferred qualifications, competencies and experience | Preferably have a doctoral degree or completed some doctoral courses in social work or a related field. |
