The role

As an HR Business Partner in our technology organization, you will be a key member of our People team, providing essential support to employees and managers. You will be instrumental in implementing our people initiatives and promoting a positive and productive work environment.

This is a great growth opportunity for budding HR professionals. You will gain hands-on experience across the full spectrum of HR, helping to support the employee lifecycle, coordinate core HR programs, and serve as a trusted first point of contact for our technology teams. You will help translate HR strategy into day-to-day support, directly contributing to the success and engagement of our technology talent.

Key responsibilities

  • Human resources partnership and employee support
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employees and front-line managers within the technology organization, providing guidance on HR policies, benefits, and company programs.
  • Support the HRBP Manager in their strategic partnerships with leadership by preparing materials, collecting data, and coordinating meetings.
  • Assist with employee relations matters by conducting initial intake, gathering information, and escalating complex issues to senior team members.
  • Promote a positive culture by championing company values ​​and supporting employee engagement initiatives.
  • Talent management and employee life cycle
  • Provide hands-on support for core HR cycles, including performance enablement, compensation planning and talent reviews. This includes tracking completions, answering process questions, and ensuring data accuracy.
  • Facilitate a seamless employee lifecycle experience, from coordinating the onboarding and onboarding process to conducting exit interviews and processing employee departures.
  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to ensure a smooth transition from candidate to employee, helping track open roles and coordinating hiring manager needs.
  • Human resources software and analytics
  • Assist in implementing and coordinating learning and development programmes, including managing logistics, tracking attendance and collecting feedback on sessions.
  • Support the adoption of new HR tools and technologies (such as AI-powered platforms) by helping to train employees and answering basic user questions.
  • Pull people data from our HR systems and analyze it to help identify trends in headcount, attrition and other key metrics.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR processes by identifying efficiency opportunities and providing feedback from the employee perspective.

Who are you

  • An emerging HR professional with 1-3 years of experience in an HR role (e.g. HR Coordinator or HR Specialist).
  • Foundational understanding of core HR functions, principles and recruitment practices.
  • An excellent communicator and empathetic listener, skilled at building trust and relationships with employees and managers.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proactive problem solver with a strong desire to learn and grow within the HR Business Partner career path.
  • Comfortable working with HR information systems and analyzing data to create basic reports. Experience using Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets is essential.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred.

Salary range

  • 84,000 – 105,000 Canadian dollars, annual salary
  • Our compensation reflects the cost of labor in many global markets. Salary for this position ranges based on location and experience. Salary depends on several factors evaluated during the interview, including market location, knowledge, skills and experience related to the job.
