your Outstanding software engineerYou will play a pivotal role in forming the foundation of a platform designed to scale globally, streamline operations, and deliver exceptional user experiences across wired and wireless infrastructures. You will be at the intersection of cloud native technologies, distributed systems, and networking. We are looking for an ideal candidate who is passionate about building high-performance systems that operate on a global scale with millions of users and devices.

How you will help us connect the world:

• Future engineer: Design and build scalable, high-performance systems, including cloud native functions (CNFs), virtual network functions (VNFs), and microservices that power SmartEdge and our cloud management platforms.
• Pioneering innovation: Leading the evolution of our edge networking portfolio, including control planes, data, routing, security and traffic optimization.
• Build on a large scale: Leverage containerization and orchestration tools (Docker and Kubernetes) to deploy elastic, cloud-native services across AWS, GCP, Azure, and OpenStack environments.
• Achieving business impact: Partner with product and business teams to translate vision into actionable, scalable architecture and elegant solutions.
• Mentor and inspiration: Act as a technical lead and mentor, championing engineering best practices, clean architecture, and performance improvement across teams.

Required qualifications:

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or related field.
• Over 15 years in software engineering with a proven track record of delivering low-latency, distributed cloud native systems at scale.
• Languages: Proficiency in C, C+, Python, Go.
• Cloud and containers: Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/GCP/Azure, OpenStack.
• Networks: Deep expertise in IP networks, routing protocols, Linux-based systems, network security, and traffic control.
• Microservices and messaging: Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, Memcached, REST APIs, Elastic Search.

• You will excite us if you have:
• Experience with Snowflake or similar data platforms.
• Previous experience in startup or high growth environments.

Our salary ranges take into account a wide range of factors, including but not limited to, benchmarking by independent third-party consultants, skill sets, years of experience, training, education, geography, and other business needs. Depending on experience, the range can be higher for candidates with exceptional experience and a proven history of successful performance. Expected total compensation for this position (base salary and commission range) is $160,000.00 – $210,000.00

The candidate will be rewarded with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life and accidental death insurance plans, a 401(k) plan, and participation in the company’s incentive plan. Candidates who start with the company will be eligible for eleven paid vacations in a full calendar year, two weeks of paid vacation (prorated based on start date), as well as other leave options.
