summary

We are looking for an experienced Business Planning Analyst for our Prevention Strategy and Operations department.

In this role, you will provide support for a variety of duties related to strategic and operational activities, planning, analysis, performance, reporting, regulation implementation, and quality management. These duties will be provided to Prevention Services through work assignment, primarily in support of strategic and operational projects and programmes.

This is a temporary position for 12 months.

How you will make a difference: It will help ensure British Columbians’ workers return home safely at the end of their workday.

At WorkSafeBC, we offer a hybrid work model that combines remote and in-office work based on the operational needs of the job.

What will you do?

  • Providing support and assistance in developing the department’s plan and departmental roadmap and contributing to the organization’s work plan
  • Assist in defining measures, preparing and maintaining departmental and departmental reports
  • Collect and analyze information and data to understand problems and/or opportunities, and develop creative and practical solutions for various levels of management including senior leadership
  • Apply business planning principles and practices, including results-based management, to track, monitor and report on measures
  • Support management by managing projects, facilitating meetings and applying change management principles for business improvement to business and project planning
  • Write concise, clear, and grammatically correct business documents to inform or persuade a variety of audiences
  • Consistently models the appropriate level of organizational behaviors expected of all WorkSafeBC employees: responsiveness, respect, fairness, cooperation, responsibility, and forward-thinking.

  • Lead and monitor multiple projects and project teams until completion

  • Facilitating meetings with clients and co-workers

Your background and experience

  • A Master’s degree in a business-related major, such as business administration, accounting, economics, politics, law or finance and at least four years of relevant work experience in business and/or financial analysis
  • Or a Bachelor’s degree in A business-related major, such as business administration, accounting, economics, politics, law, or finance, In addition to a recognized Canadian designation such as CPA, PMP, CBAP And the minimum of Four years Relevant practical experience in business or strategic planning, business process improvement, project management, gap analysis and/or data analysis reporting
