Part-time radio production assistant

WMUR, the ABC affiliate in Manchester, New Hampshire has an opening for a part-time Radio Production Assistant. We are looking for a team player who understands the flexible schedule that the broadcast industry requires to join our production crew. You will be responsible for operating cameras, teleprompter, sound board, graphics and video equipment related to live broadcast and post-production. You will work with our production team to ensure a successful broadcast production. You will report to the Production Manager.

Responsibilities
• Operating cameras and directing the studio floor

• Play Prompter and Bit Central logs

• Turn on the Ronin still camera

• Moving and handling props and sets during production

• Build, maintain, install and operate props, cameras, jigs, sets and other production equipment

• Lighting and scenario preparation for news bulletins

• Maintaining the appearance of the studios including cleaning the set and floors

• Understand and maintain the lighting network and control panel

• Climb stairs to change light bulbs and adjust fixtures on the network

• Edit cross-promotions for on-air and web content using Adobe Premiere

• Edit presentation content using Adobe Premiere

• Assisting managers

requirements
• Working knowledge of television news equipment and software

• Video shooting experience is beneficial

• Editing experience is essential

• Can handle the pressures and pressures of producing time-sensitive newscasts

• Relevant military experience will be considered

• Personal attendance is required
