To help deliver our innovative program to schools, colleges, community groups, families and young people, we are currently looking for a Communities Coordinator to be part of our Engagement and Learning team.

John Hansard Gallery is a leading contemporary art gallery. We are part of the University of Southampton and the National Portfolio Organization of Arts Council England.

The Communities Coordinator will coordinate the JHG Ambassadors Program and help establish the Beacons Program for junior creative staff. They will create new projects with and alongside the community and artists, nurturing new approaches to co-creation and social engagement practices.

Experience of working in a similar role and environment is essential, along with a good knowledge of participating and learning in a contemporary arts environment. Experience multi-tasking and communicating is important.
