Product engineers create the software that we send to our users, especially our editor. As a member of our core product team, you’ll join us in innovating a new and better way to build software.

You might be a good fit if…

• You’ve built a great product.
• You combine excellent engineering with a flair for modeling and design.
• You have a flair for creative ideas and have a knack for making powerful tools without compromising their ease of use.

Typical projects include:

• Inventing new interfaces and user experiences for PR review of AI generated code
• Two-week sprint to build a new product vertically from scratch (e.g., AI bugshooting)
• Conduct experiments and A/B tests on millions of users to push the boundaries of agent quality – past subagents, memories, and PR recall

We are Anysphere, the team behind us Indicator.

Our mission is to automate coding. The first step on our journey is to build the best tool for professional programmers, using a combination of creative research, design and engineering.

We are a group of engineers and scientists who have built beloved products, created major open source software projects, started large-scale businesses, won Olympic medals, and published important research (e.g. tmm1, Ian, Luke, elephant, Federico, safety, Sweileh).

Our organization is very flat, and our team is small and full of talent. We especially like people who are truth-seeking, passionate, and creative. We enjoy the spirited discussion, crazy ideas, and shipping code.

We personally work with comfortable offices in North Beach, San Francisco, and Manhattan, New York, filled with well-stocked libraries. Our investors include Andreessen Horowitz, OpenAI, Jeff Dean, and John Schulman, the founders of Stripe and Github.

Submission

If there seems to be a fit, we’ll get to scheduling 2-3 short art shows. Next, we’ll schedule an on-site appointment at our office, where you’ll work on a small project, discuss ideas, and meet the team.
