Lecturer in Medical Genetics at Plymouth University
Are you a medical geneticist with a passion for teaching?
About the role
The Faculty of Biomedical Sciences is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Medical Genetics. You will contribute to teaching across a range of programmes, and your enthusiasm for your subject will extend to providing excellent teaching and mentoring at foundation, undergraduate and postgraduate levels, informed by excellent scholarship and your own research experience. You will benefit from a positive and collegial work environment that values ​​and promotes excellence in all academic activities. The School promotes collaborative research and supports the development of real-world impact.
You will lead the teaching of genetics and genomics for our biomedical sciences programmes. You will contribute to teaching through lectures, practical applications, tutorials and workshops. You will provide pastoral care to the teacher group and contribute to academic administration as required. You will also have a strong research background and be equipped to contribute to faculty research activities and develop your own research proposals.

Due to the nature of the role, we are unfortunately unable to accommodate working from home.
This is a full time position working 37 hours per week on a permanent basis.
The successful candidate may be required to hold ATAS certification before undertaking this research.
