About the role

Location: We are a fully remote team, and although we are hiring almost globally, there is a preference for this role to be based in Europe or remotely +/- 4 hours CEST

What will you do?

• Keep things running smoothly – You will build, maintain and optimize our Kubernetes workloads while ensuring a resilient and scalable cloud infrastructure using infrastructure as code
• Build cool stuff – Automate deployments, reduce technical debt, and optimize AWS costs to improve infrastructure efficiency
• Shaping the future of DevOps in CoW – Lead CI/CD workflow standards, contribute to platform architecture and security, and enhance communication and post-mortem processes to foster a strong DevOps culture
• Enhancing our blockchain infrastructure – Deploy and manage Ethereum validators and nodes, create SLAs, and ensure high availability across our network
• Specific reliability measures – Create SLIs/SLOs to compete with us in solutions, RPCs, and deals; Build and manage error budgets with stakeholders
• Driving operational excellence – Rotate with the on-call team, drive flawless retrospectives, and automate runbooks to continuously improve agility
• Education and sharing -We love sharing knowledge! Be prepared to collaborate, mentor, and even lead a small presentation to the team
• Automate and optimize – Continuously modify and extend Pulumi configurations for AWS, fine-tune deployments, and improve alerting solutions
• Enhancing surveillance and security – Improve logging structure, security measures, and database integrity to ensure reliable performance of the infrastructure

Who are you

• Mastering Kubernetes – I have deployed and maintained production-class K8 clusters before
• Cloud and DevOps experience – Strong experience with AWS, CI/CD, Docker, and Linux
• Blockchain experience? Even better! – Experience running Ethereum nodes (or other infrared blockchains) is a plus.
• Ready upon request – You are comfortable dealing with accidents and making sure things don’t break (or fix them quickly if they do!)
• Monitor Pro – You know your way around Prometheus, Grafana, and Elasticsearch
• Database knowledge – We use Postgres, but any database experience is a plus
• Coding background – You have written production-level code in Python, Go, Rust, or similar for at least a year or two
• Team player and communicator -We are a remote team, so documentation, knowledge sharing, and collaboration are key
