Coating Engineer | Advanced Materials A2O function on T-Net

A2O is looking to hire a skilled Coating Engineer who can oversee the development of protective and performance enhancing adhesive coating products. The successful candidate will have extensive experience working with polymeric materials for various products including adhesives and coatings. We are looking for a candidate with direct industry experience who can help us deliver our innovative product opportunities.
Your responsibilities k Coating engineer It will be:
- Develop protocols for coating applications using a variety of techniques, including casting, spray coating, strip coating, roll curing, etc.
- Work with our team of chemists to develop polymer blends and formulations suitable for the coating process.
- Accelerate coatings development by optimizing coating and processing parameters to maximize product performance.
- Evaluate product performance and perform quality control using a variety of material characterization techniques, including surface analysis, adhesion/tensile testing, and simulated and realistic tests.
- Support the manufacturing and scale-up of A2O tape and film products.
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team including chemists, chemical engineers and industry stakeholders.
Basic qualifications and experience:
- At least 5 years of relevant industry experience with a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in chemical, mechanical, or electrical engineering. With hands-on experience in establishing coating processes and/or formulation development including roll coating, chemical formulation, adhesive development, or related areas. Working with specific adhesive techniques will be seen as an asset.
- Ability to demonstrate practical experience in various coating processes, including formulation and processing of tapes, inks and/or films for industrial or commercial products.
- – Demonstrated ability to manage and lead technical projects.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Canadian citizenship or permanent residency.
Additional qualifications and experience required:
- Experience in quality and product design systems such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing or Kaizen.
- Experience using Design of Experiments (DOE) tools.
