We are looking for a thoughtful and proactive Business Analyst to join our Business and Systems Analysis team within iSolutions. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a team known across the university for its commitment to collaborative working, inclusive engagement and continuous improvement.

As part of the iSolutions IT Portfolio, you will help shape and deliver change across education, research and professional services. You will work closely with stakeholders and colleagues, including project and change managers to understand business needs, analyze current and future states, and co-create solutions that deliver real value.

This role is based at 1 Guildhall Square in central Southampton, with travel to other campuses in Hampshire as needed. We support flexible and hybrid working, with a minimum of 3 days a week in the office during the first month, reducing to 1 day a week thereafter.

What will you do:

• Apply your analytical skills and collaborative mindset to explore business challenges and opportunities.

• Capture and plan current and future processes, define clear requirements and acceptance criteria, and contribute to evidence-based business cases.

• Build trusted relationships with stakeholders and work as part of a supportive cross-functional team.

What to bring:

• Confidence in leading business analysis engagements with project teams and senior stakeholders.

• Experience using recognized business analysis tools and techniques.

• Curiosity and a desire to explore how things work and how they could work better.

• Collaborative approach, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
