Boeing is looking for Software Engineers – Simulation (Associate or Experienced) To join Virtual simulation The team located in Berkeley, Missouri. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) business organization.

As part of the software engineering team at the Virtual Warfare Center (VWC), the selected engineer will work on various toolkits focused on virtualization and experimentation. The selected individual will be responsible for developing capabilities for a variety of clients, both internal partners and external contracts. The primary tool sets are the Virtual Interactive Simulation Environment (VISE) which is a collection of simulations, components, tools and interfaces. These toolkits are responsible for operator-in-the-loop (OITL) real-time simulation experiments at VWC. The selected engineer will have the opportunity to design platforms, sensors, emitters, communications, weapons, and tactical systems.

The selected engineer will also be responsible for supporting large trial efforts, which will include several advanced concept capabilities defined by the customer.

Position Responsibilities:

• As a member of the Virtual Warfare Center’s virtual simulation team, the engineer will work with both the Boeing development team and external partners in a large-scale unified simulation environment.

• This position will support contract research and development efforts and will work with the customer to define and implement modeling and simulation to support warfighters in their demonstration efforts.

• The engineer will be required to help define requirements, develop simulation software, troubleshoot existing software, and assist in creating software designs and test plans.

Our team is currently recruiting for a wide range of experience levels including associate and experienced software engineers.

This position is expected to be 100% on site. The selected candidate will be required to work on site at one of the site options listed.

Basic qualifications (required skills/experience):

• Top Secret US Security Clearance (A US security clearance that has been active within the past 24 months is considered active).

• 2+ years of experience in Linux development environment

• More than two years of experience in C++

• 2+ years of experience in version control systems such as Git or Subversion

• Experience using SDLC and Agile methodologies, with a focus on Scrum and Kanban

Preferred qualifications (required skills/experience):

• 5 or more years of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

• Previous operator experience in real-time loop simulation

• Previous experience with Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) standards.

• Previous experience with Python

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Strong team mentality and willingness to contribute

Assistant Pay Range Summary: $90,100.00 – $121,900.00

Experience Pay Range Summary: $110,500.00 – $149,500.00
