Senior Product Manager role at Redgate Software

We are growing our product management team, and are looking for senior product managers to help us achieve our vision and long-term growth in many areas of our business.

As a Senior Product Manager, you will be responsible for the full product lifecycle, from creating the product strategy, launch, successful marketing, and then end-of-life. You will work with senior stakeholders to define and implement the overall product vision and direction.

Achieving work-life balance is more important than ever, so Redgate has adopted a flexible hybrid model. For this role, we are looking for candidates near our office in Cambridge, UK.

Your work in the Redgate program:

· Defining strategy for a product or large product area, including a compelling vision of how to solve real customer problems along with core business plans, ensuring the strategy is communicated and implemented effectively across the organization.

· Work with the Chief Product Officer and Group Product Managers to ensure products meet key objectives and align with the company’s direction – taking ownership of specific initiatives to improve results.

· Take ownership of Redgate’s business results and customer success, and proactively identify and implement ways to improve them.

· Collaborate with other Product Managers to ensure that products provide complementary added value, enhancing the broader portfolio offering.

· Partner with the product technical lead and designer to deliver a sustainable, high-quality product roadmap to achieve good business results.

· Partner with the Product Marketing Manager on positioning, pricing, packaging and go to market plans.

· Role model and motivate customer focus in your team. Evaluate the impact of product changes on customers (e.g., value, time to value, NPS) and respond quickly.

· Work as part of the product management team to support portfolio level decisions and information flow across the company.

· Serve as product evangelist and liaise with Marketing, Sales and Finance on key opportunities and go-to-market plans. Motivate customer engagement to ensure the commercial success of products.

· Develop growth opportunities outside existing product markets by constantly searching for new areas where the current product can be expanded, or an adjacent product can be created.

· Staying informed of relevant market demands, our competitors and the evolving role of our target customers.

· Act as a mentor to less experienced product managers, and more broadly as an advocate for good product management practices.

What you bring to the table:

· Significant product management experience, preferably in B2B software, and able to address complex product management issues with high independence

· Customer and business mindset, providing the best solutions to our customers

· Analytical mindset and ability to use data to drive decision-making

· Proven market research and competitive analysis skills

· Enthusiastic about solving complex problems and taking risks

· Proven success in developing and implementing inspiring product strategies and driving product roadmaps that drive good business results

· Experience working within an agile environment and developing user-driven products – Proven ability to analyze strategy to enable rapid experimentation, learning and delivery of incremental value to achieve business objectives

· Proven ability to work with senior decision makers, and able to challenge and influence effectively

· Has the technical competence to exert effective influence on product direction, including effective negotiation with senior technical stakeholders

· Enthusiastic and confident when speaking to customers, and able to effectively influence external stakeholders from users to senior decision makers

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to explain and translate complex needs/concepts into clear, effective plans that are well understood by relevant audiences

· High degree of customer empathy and world-class ability to ask the right questions.

· Enthusiastic and able to act as a coach and mentor to support the development of less experienced colleagues.

Who are you:

· Key skills are a combination of customer empathy and a world-class ability to ask the right questions.

· You are a self-starter and independent and can exercise judgment and decision making with credibility

· Some understanding of the field would be an advantage but is not essential.
