Are you interested in furthering your career at the forefront of manufacturing? We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer to join the Advanced Manufacturing Research Center (AMRC) in Sheffield. You will join a diverse team of engineers, project managers and operational staff to help deliver innovative manufacturing research to UK manufacturing, with a focus on automated assembly.

Based at AMRC’s flagship Factory 2050 facility, you will be based at the University of Sheffield and play a key role in driving the uptake of manufacturing process improvement through automation and mechanical design by working closely with key collaborators in the UK and internationally.

We are looking for someone who has experience implementing mechanical engineering and design in an industrial context, and who is not afraid to challenge the ‘norm’. You may already be working in a related role or perhaps you have recently obtained a degree in a related field. What is crucial is the willingness to seek solutions to difficult problems and drive the adoption of new technologies in the manufacturing sector.

As part of this role, you will have the opportunity to showcase your work or enhance your knowledge by attending national and international events. AMRC supports professional development, including accreditation and training relevant to your role.
