Cowater has appointed a Project Coordinator for a proposal in a development course in Global Affairs Canada’s Services Support to Terrain (PSAT) project cadre in Senegal. Thereafter, provided the project is outsourced to Cowater, it will be partly provisional for the first annual show (estimate 110 days) and sufficient time for the remaining four years, and will be based in Dakar in Senegal.

The Ground Services Support Project aims to provide access to local technical expertise, as well as administrative and logistical services for Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development Canada (MAECD) development programs in Senegal. This domestic support ensures that Canada can provide effective, efficient, high-quality and relevant assistance to respond to the challenges, demands and development priorities of these countries.

Responsibilities Cles

  • Maintain and update daily project-related information in paper and/or electronic files; There can be, among others, a calendar of activities, progress reports and correspondence;
  • Consult with various representatives involved in managing activities on strategic and administrative issues related to the project;
  • Contribute to the detailing, planning, analysis, evaluation and hierarchy of live products, documents and requirements;
  • Assist in calculating the achievement of specialized techniques and results obtained by all;
  • Assist in coordination and preparation of documentation in response to previous reports, notes, feedback and MAECD high direction notification of project progress status;
  • Coordinate technical specialist support requests and carry out follow-up, prioritization, emergency assessment and stabilization of selections;
  • Coordinate project/instruction framework screening efforts and share this information with project equipment and/or MAECD, as desired;
  • Coordinate logistics, such as vehicle location, flights and missions for specialized technologies, sub-elements and multilateral parties;
  • When it comes to and coordinates PSAT activities for prenantes;
  • Providing advice on documentation requirements of local authorities/governments;
  • Dialogue/cooperation with previous parties and resolving problems in a quick and effective manner;
  • Make a point of intending the previous parties, if that’s the case;
  • Meter/maintain landing systems and other follow-up mechanisms for measuring procedures;
  • Search and search for contextual, analyzed and additional relevant information and correct syntheses;
  • Promote and study best practical approaches to expand knowledge about local development and development strategies;
  • Coordinator, editor, and preparer for signing official documents and reports for the project;
  • They are familiar with the laws, rules and practices that are locally active, compliant and inclusive of local human resource management, and anticipate the use of local specialized technologies and their ability to carry out more activities in the programming area.

Du Post requirements
Experience required:

  • You have less than five (5) years of experience as a project coordinator or manager;
  • Previous experience working/managing a minimum of (2) international development projects (achieved at least 75%);
  • Preferences will be available to people who can experience this experience within projects that are long-term (projects of 5 years or more) and high-value (projects with a fair total value of at or above $5 million CAD);
  • An experience that can be tried through the following main functions:
    • Maintain and maintain daily project-related information in paper and/or electronic files (may include, among others, activity calendars, progress reports, and correspondence);
    • Contribute to the detailing, planning, analysis, evaluation and hierarchy of live products, documents and requirements;
    • Coordinate technical specialist support requests and carry out follow-up, prioritization, emergency assessment and stabilization of selections;
    • Coordinate logistics, such as vehicle location, trips, and missions for specialized technologies, sub-characteristics, and levels;
    • Dialogue/cooperation with previous parties and resolving problems in a quick and effective manner
    • Providing advice on documentation requirements of local authorities/governments.
  • Project experience must be acquired in development countries, with preference in one of the following countries: Senegal, Cape Verde, Gambia, Guinea-Bissau, Republic of Guinea.

education :
The University Diploma (first cycle) provides you with a foundation of knowledge, in a relevant discipline such as political science, law, international development, economics, finance, affairs management, project management, social sciences, science or applied sciences.

Linguistic competencies:
Excellent command of the French language, both written and oral.

Conditions of employment:
Candidates must reside temporarily in Dakar, Senegal.
