We are looking for a dynamic, knowledgeable individual with professional 2D fashion design experience to join our collective team and to help shape our expanding fashion design provision. The course offers a forward-thinking design education, nurturing ambitious and dedicated students as they prepare for careers in the fashion industry.

About the role

You will contribute your expertise to the delivery and further development of a range of modules on our BA (Hons) Fashion Design course, and will also contribute to learning and teaching across the wider Fashion subject area within Bath School of Design, where appropriate.

Ideally, you will have specialist experience in 2D fashion design, which involves both analogue and digital processes, and recent industry experience. The successful applicant will be expected to support students in developing a critical understanding of the wider context of contemporary fashion design, while providing the essential practical skills essential to this discipline.

You will play an important role in developing the knowledge and skills of our undergraduate and postgraduate students, and will work as part of the wider Bath School of Design team to provide career guidance, deliver robust assessment, appropriate student support and generally maintain a high standard of learning and teaching underpinned by informed industry experience. Additional duties include assisting the Headteacher and the school’s senior leadership team in strengthening the school’s curriculum portfolio, strengthening relationships with employers and other relevant external parties, and pursuing wider opportunities to enhance the student experience.

Ac3S Lecturer – Salary starts at £35,796 rising to £37,911 per annum, pro rata £44,746 – £47,389

Senior Lecturer Ac3A – Salary starting at £39,058 rising to £45,225 per annum, pro rata £48,823 rising to £56,536

A salary range shows your maximum potential pay progression plus any annual inflationary increases in your salary. Please note that our default position is to assign at the lower end of the range, unless there are exceptional circumstances.
