a description:

The Versant Media Music Supervisor is responsible for ensuring productions across the Versant portfolio have the music they need to make their programs sing. As a Music Supervisor, you will take requests from productions by receiving or providing creative direction and delivering music on time and within production licensing deals. You will conduct training sessions as needed for clients who need assistance searching our music database. You will assist with administrative duties, including maintaining users and groups, running reports for data analytics, and changing library permissions as necessary.

What will you do:

• Partner with creative, marketing and sales teams to drive discovery and synchronization of music and sound effects across Versant properties.
• Provide music for Versant production on time, within the scope and budget of the production music library deals.
• Create catalogs of featured playlists based on specific popular styles, genres, holidays and events.
• Assist with administration and administration of Versant’s music database – maintaining group, user and library permissions.
• Educate and train users through virtual and on-site demonstrations.
• Providing technical support and working with the vendor when necessary.
• Liaise with the Music Business and Legal team to ensure accuracy of library permissions for each production set.
• Create reports for database analyses.
• Compilation of Versant Networks’ proprietary music for reuse in future programming.

Qualifications

Required qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum 5 years of work experience in library related field.
• Knowledge and passion for music.

Required qualifications
• Master’s degree in library and information science.
• Extensive knowledge of music production and supervision.
• Experience working with media asset management systems.
• Experience with Adobe Photoshop.
