Under the overall direction of the Supervisory Transportation Planner, the incumbent leads the Long Range Policy Planning (LRPP) branch and supervises a team of transportation planners and/or assistant transportation planners to achieve the mission of the Office of State Planning. The incumbent leads and monitors a variety of statewide policy and planning efforts to support the development and implementation of the California Transportation Plan (CTP), including managing the CTP dashboard and responding to internal and external inquiries. The incumbent works closely with other management staff and various offices, divisions, and regions within Caltrans to develop and review regional and state planning deliverables; Provide planning products to enhance the multimodal transportation system in the state; Identify “best practices” in statewide and long-term transportation planning; Developing employees’ knowledge, skills and abilities; Providing customer service to regions, partners and the public in a timely manner.
