Head of Creative Media and Digital Arts at Leeds City College
About the role
Leeds City College is recruiting for a Head of Creative Media and Digital Arts to join our team based at the Quarry Hill Campus.
We are looking for a passionate, creative individual who is ready to take creative media and digital arts to the next level.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role with significant further education experience. The outcomes will be focused on ensuring we deliver the highest standards of education to our students.
The Department of Creative Media and Digital Arts has been assessed by the college’s quality processes as Outstanding for 24/25 with key strengths relating to achievement, industry links and progression to higher education programmes. Hiring this year has exceeded the target, and work is already underway to increase capacity in September 2026.
The department has over 600 learners, aged between 16 and 18, studying TV and film production, animation, game design and development, journalism and esports across levels 1, 2 and 3. There is also provision in T levels, access programs and provision for adults.
Quarry Hill is a modern campus, located within Leeds’ SOYO cultural quarter, with fantastic facilities and an ambitious spirit for both learners and colleagues.

- Great interest in developing new courses and opportunities in the creative arts sector.
- Experience working with external stakeholders such as qualification boards, technical organizations and funding bodies.
