Sugro-Mion, PLCa large law firm is looking for an EE/Computer Science Engineering Patent Associate to work in Washington, DC

Statement of purpose:
Assist with various tasks related to patent prosecution including all aspects of preparing and prosecuting patent applications and researching and analyzing techniques. Technology fields such as Internet technologies, semiconductor design and manufacturing process, computer software and hardware, microprocessor circuits and systems, communications, communications protocols and systems, and electrical circuits.

Education and experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science. A law degree from an ABA-accredited law school and admission to the bar in at least one state (for an attorney). Strong academic qualifications. Registered to practice before the USPTO. Two or more years of significant experience in patent prosecution.

Experience as a patent examiner is a plus.

Job Location:
This position is located in the Washington, DC office and is generally offered with a hybrid option of in-office and remote work, as needed.
