ED13096 Lecturer – Jobs in Bath
About the role
The University of Bath is an international center of excellence in research and teaching, committed to achieving global reach. A Lecturer in Social Work is required to join the Department of Social Sciences and Policy.
DSPS is committed to being interdisciplinary, progressive and influential in both research and teaching. Its academic staff come from a wide range of disciplinary backgrounds including economics, sociology, politics, anthropology, geography, development studies, social and public policy, social work and criminology.
The department is home to the Center for Development Studies, which is celebrating its 50th anniversaryy Anniversary in 2025.
You will be expected to conduct original and rigorous research in social work, and help build on our already strong community of doctoral and postdoctoral researchers.
Core teaching will contribute to the Bachelor of Science in Social Work and Applied Social Studies and Social Work to the Master of Science.
Our ideal candidate
You will already have some teaching experience. We will consider specializations in any sub-field of social work but are particularly keen to advance the department’s interests in mental health. You will have a qualification in social work and be registered with Social Work England or be eligible and willing to register.

The position offered is full time (36.5 hours per week) and on a permanent basis.
