The McAndrews Athletics Fund Manager is a highly organized individual with the ability to juggle multiple projects with multiple stakeholders. The role involves developing and implementing sports fundraising strategies, specifically for the McAndrews Fund. Key responsibilities include creating and implementing annual plans for solicitations, communications and events. Building and maintaining relationships with coaches, administrators and athletic staff to support fundraising and engagement plans for each team and program is essential. The Director will also oversee relationships with alumni athletes, parents and friends to promote engagement. Organizing and implementing alumni and parent focused sporting events to support progression goals is an essential part of the role. Collaborating with the athletic department to fundraise for special projects and providing regular updates to stakeholders is important. Additionally, required to manage the department budget and participate in team leadership and athletics meetings.
Basic functions:
Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for the McAndrews Fund and other sports fundraising priorities. Develop annual plans for requests for proposals, communications and events. Setting annual goals, developing pioneering measures, and implementing plans.
Develop relationships with coaches and administrators in athletics on behalf of College Advancement. Create, update and implement an annual fundraising and engagement plan for each team and program. This should include potential gifts to McAndrews, endowments and special capital projects according to the priority determined by the athletic director.
Manage philanthropic relationships for alumni, parents and friends of athletes to deepen engagement with Dickinson. This includes managing volunteers and prospects.
Plan and implement all aspects of alumni-focused athletic events that are determined to be strategic for advancement purposes. Events include in support of Giving Day, All Devils Rise, alumni and parent events, McAndrews Golf Outing, Hall of Fame Induction, and Run for Steph.
Partner with the Athletic Department to fundraise for special projects and provide regular updates on progress to stakeholders involved in college development/athletics.
Department budget management. Serve as a member of the senior AVPs team. Attend all Athletics Leadership Team meetings.
Bachelor’s Degree – Preferred field of study for Arts degree not specified
3-5 years work experience
You must have documents to be able to travel by plane if necessary.
Valid PA driver’s license
