Digital Studio Production Manager at Sony Pictures in London, EN | 502532
This is a full time job

Sony Pictures Television International Production’s new digital studio is here to shape the future of original content developing creator-first and platform-first original content for digital audiences. The newly launched UK-based digital studio will create YouTube series, creator partnerships, podcasts, and bold, audience-first branded content tailored to how people really watch.

We are looking for a highly organized and creative Producer/Producer to play a vital role in bringing our digital content to life. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of production, from pre-production planning and budgeting to set execution and post-production delivery.
Working closely with the Creative Director and reporting to the Head of Production and Operations, you will ensure our content is produced to the highest standards, on time and within budget.
What will you do:
production:
• Managing all stages of production, including pre-production, production, and post-production
• Develop and manage production schedules, budgets and resource allocation.
• Supervising site exploration, crew hiring, and equipment rental.
• Ensure that all products adhere to safety regulations and company policies.
• Ensure all products are produced and delivered to a high standard, on schedule, and within budget
• Support the Head of Production in managing overall production operations & enforcing internal processes
• Oversee and manage schedules and resources in post-production
• Sourcing and contracting with crew, suppliers, shareholders and talent
Creative collaboration:
• Work closely with the Creative Director to understand their creative vision and translate it into actionable production plans.
• Collaborate with writers, directors, and other creative staff to help develop compelling content.
• Provide creative input and problem-solving solutions throughout the production process.
• Produce content with an eye on the possibility of distributing it on live streaming, streaming and other VOD platforms.
Production accounting:
• Manage production budgets and cost managers, track expenses, and work closely with finance teams to ensure cost-effective delivery
• Process invoices and payments for vendors and crew members.
• Support the Head of Production in preparing production cost reports and financial summaries.
YouTube experience:
• Apply a deep understanding of YouTube best practices to optimize platform content.
• Stay up to date with the latest trends and features on YouTube.
Creator Relations:
• Leverage existing relationships with leading UK creatives and develop new partnerships.
• Manage talent contracts and ensure smooth collaboration with creatives.
What will you bring?
Required skills and qualifications
):
• At least 3 years of experience as a producer or production manager producing digital, television, commercials or branded content, for either an independent production company, agency or publisher.
• Experienced in sourcing and contracting crew independently, with strong negotiation skills to achieve high quality results within budget.
• Strong understanding of production accounting principles and practices.
• Extensive knowledge of post-production workflow and processes.
• Experience producing best-in-class creator content on YouTube
• Deep understanding of the YouTube platform and its audience.
• Excellent relationships with digital content creators, suppliers and staff in the UK
• A passion for creating content that resonates with digital audiences and has the ability to be “ready to go live.”
• Strong organizational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
• A network of contacts in the UK digital content creation industry.
Preferred skills and qualifications
• Previous experience in television production is a strong advantage
• Experience working with prominent content creators and managing creator-led content.
• Familiarity with various video production equipment and software.
