Selection process
Candidates who have obtained the basic qualifications as mentioned above and must have qualified the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE2022/GATE-2023/GATE-2024/GATE-2025) as the case may be, conducted by the corresponding NT/MScin paper, e.g. Only Electrical Engineering (EE), Mechanical Engineering (ME) and Civil Engineering (CE) will be eligible to be considered for selection.
The minimum qualifying cut off marks in terms of GATE-2022/ GATE-2023/GATE-2024/GATE-2025 as announced by the GATE Regulating Institute (both NT/MSc) for the respective GATE paper/discipline/category must be
The selection process consists of a valid GATE score (out of 1000) obtained in the corresponding paper of GATE-2023/GATE-2024/GATE-2025 of GATE-2022 (as a one-time measure). No interviews will be conducted for positions advertised by HPUs. GATE result- 2021 or earlier will not be enjoyed.
The applicant will be required to fill the GATE score (out of 1000) obtained in GATE-2023 / GATE-2024 / GATE-2025 or GATE- 2022 score (as a one-time measure), whichever is higher while submitting the online application.
In addition, the educational qualifications must be from a recognized institution/university/board.
In case the GATE score (out of 1000) of two or more candidates is equal, the older candidate will be considered higher in merit. Moreover, if the age is also equal, the candidate who secures more marks in the basic qualifications will be considered higher in merit.
Shortlisted candidates for the post of Assistant Engineer will produce the Medical Fitness Certificate required for first entry into service from the Civil Surgeon of any district in Haryana before joining the services.

The online application fee must be paid through electronic mode i.e. debit card/credit card/internet banking
The application must be submitted electronically, complete in all respects, within the specified period starting from 09-29-2025 to 10-29-2025.
The application form received via courier or any other means will not be accepted under any circumstances and will be rejected. Hard copy online
It is not required to submit an application form.
Obviously, any delay in submitting the online application form by the specified date will be the sole responsibility of the candidate.
The candidate must keep a printout of the online application form along with the application fee transaction for future reference and candidates must bring it at the time of document verification/verification.
An online application that is incomplete and without the prescribed fees will be rejected immediately and no correspondence will be accepted in this regard
Candidates are advised to apply online in time without waiting for the last date for application.
Documents required for DHBVN Assistant Engineer recruitment 2025
Candidates must upload scanned copies of all prescribed certificates and documents when submitting the DHBVN AE online application form. Applications that do not contain the correct attachments will be rejected.

High school diploma or birth certificate.
Proof of basic qualifications
: Degree certificate or final year/semester mark.
Proof of conversion CGPA/OGPA/DGPA:
Official standards from the university/institute show conversion to percentage.
Valid GATE score card:
GATE-2022/2023/2024/2025 score card issued by the accredited body.
SC Certificate (if applicable):
Must follow Haryana Government Instruction No. 22/163/2024-5HR-II dated 13.11.2024.
BC-A (NCL)/BC-B (NCL) Certificate (if applicable):
As per the instructions of the State Government dated 17.11.2021, 22.03.2022 and 16.07.2024; Certificate must be issued after 01.04.2025, based on income of FY 2024-2025 – OBC certificates are not valid.
EWS certificate (if applicable):
Based on income for the fiscal year 2024-2025, issued after 01.04.2025 and valid for the period 2025-2026.
Other certificates:
Domicile, Persons with Disabilities, Ex-Serviceman, and other relevant certifications as specified.
All documents must be uploaded in clear, legible and current scanned format in the format and size specified in the official instructions. Incomplete or outdated certificates will result in the application being rejected
