Space planner at the University of Gloucestershire
1.0fte, 37 hours per week
Fixed term contract of 12 months
This is a hybrid role, you will need to be on campus frequently (typically 3-4 days per week). This will vary with team and project requirements in line with the University’s agile framework.
This role will be based across all undergraduate campuses.

The Real Estate Department takes pride in promoting a thriving physical environment, upholding a level of excellence in presentation, and supporting our staff and students as well as visitors and anyone who uses our facilities.
Our mission is to provide a professional and cost-effective estate management service that ensures that the University’s academic and research endeavors continue safely and efficiently. We aim to cultivate an environment that instills pride in our community, and promote sustainable learning activities for all.
Management responsibilities include managing real estate strategy, property maintenance, property management, facilities management, health, safety, and environmental oversight.
About the role
The space planner will make a visible impact on properties, amenities and user experience by contributing to the development of our buildings and outdoor environments.
The role holder will survey and analyze existing spaces, develop options for stakeholder consideration, and update our master recording drawings of our land and buildings, which are essential for legal compliance and reporting. The role holder will also operate sensors and other systems to understand space usage. The role holder will work closely with Academic, Technical and Career Services colleagues across the University.
