Are you a professional purchasing experience in managing a competitive purchase, drafting contracts, negotiations and sellers management? We have an opportunity for senior buyers (prominent purchasing officials), who will be accredited to providing contractual obligations to gain goods.

You will be responsible for ensuring the safety of the acquisition and increasing the acquisition strategies to the maximum. Your activities will include project coordination, monitoring, maintaining the performance of the seller, creating contractual documents, and conducting negotiations while responding to both external and internal customers in a high -pressure environment.

How will a difference happen: It will help protect the financial integrity of the BC workers’ compensation system, ensuring that the British Colombian service is now and in the future.

Where will you do?

In Worksafebc, we offer a hybrid business model that combines work remotely, and in our offices based on the operational needs of the situation.

For this position, a successful candidate must work two days a week in our office in Richmond.

What will you do?

  • Managing a group of contracts to ensure sources or renewal in a timely manner
  • Arrange the project resources necessary to ensure the fulfillment of customer requirements by creating and monitoring the time tables of purchases and preparing the bid documents associated with them
  • Planning, leading and facilitating the purchase in the meetings of the multidisciplinary purchasing project
  • Carry out and coordinate pre -tender meetings, in the site tours, and work as a mediator in representing the interests of Worksafebc and playing the clean seller
  • Preparing, writing and reviewing legal contracts and analyzing contracts for possible problems and opportunities

We are looking for people who can:

  • Providing the direction of work and working as a supplier for co -workers and leading evaluation teams in choosing a product or service
  • Establishing and maintaining reliable and cooperative business relationships with clients, sellers and peers
  • Determining and analyzing complex purchases and submitting recommendations in accordance with the specific policies using the initiative, resourcefulness and proper judgment
  • Providing practical knowledge of legal issues and financial principles in terms of their connection with selling goods and services
  • Technical information is provided in a clear, verbal, and book in a clear way

Your background and your experience

  • At least six years of supply/purchasing chain experience, including experience in managing a competitive purchase, drafting contracts, and managing sellers’ relationships
  • Set the Supply Series Management Profession
  • It is preferable to post -secondary school in the relevant discipline

We will consider a combined mix of education and experience.

salary: 41.56 dollars -52.35 dollars / hour
