We have an exciting opportunity for a Research Support Officer to join the University’s Research and Innovation Directorate.

The Research Support Officer provides research administrative support to key initiatives within the Research and Innovation Directorate, including supporting colleagues across the department in coordinating funding inquiries, funding opportunities, staff training and development opportunities and ongoing project management.

The role involves providing professional project support to academics throughout the full project life cycle. This includes supporting costs, maximizing funding for awarded grants, and ensuring compliance with funding guidelines from application stage through project award and subsequent project closure.

As a Research Support Officer, you will have experience of managing projects within a higher education research funding environment, along with a demonstrated knowledge of funding body audit requirements. You will have excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Teams and advanced Excel.

With two A levels or relevant experience, and GCSEs at grade C/4 or above in English and Maths, you will have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to work to achieve targets and meet strict deadlines.
