Research Assistant in Epidemiology at the University of Leicester
Vacancy terms: Full time, or job share is considered a 12 month fixed contract

About the role
This is an excellent opportunity for graduates looking to gain hands-on experience in real-world health research. Join BHF Leicester’s new £3 million Center of Research Excellence as a Research Assistant within our Populations theme, exploring how cardiovascular disease and multiple long-term conditions intersect – particularly across diverse ethnic groups.
Hosted by the Leicester Real World Evidence Unit, you will work with electronic health record data on a large scale to:
- Draft study protocols and conduct feasibility assessments
- Clean and analyze data using statistical methods
- Contribute to influential publications and policy-relevant research
You will be supported by experienced researchers and gain exposure to cutting-edge epidemiological studies aimed at improving health outcomes and reducing inequalities. Applications from groups underrepresented in health research are strongly encouraged.
