Participant researcher* in complementary population measurements (specific period) at Cambridge University
An exciting opportunity for a very enthusiastic participant researcher has arisen to join the cardiovascular epidemic unit (CEU) in the Public Health and First Care Department (DPPHPC) to work on integral studies of multicide data (genome science, protein science, metabolology, etc.) through various large -scale population groups. The job owner will join the Petroreth group, which is at the forefront of multidimensional research to determine the causes and predictions of cardiovascular diseases and other common complex diseases.
The job owner is expected to develop and implement the analysis pipelines that include genetic data, wide -angle data on molecular areas (such as thousands of plasma proteins, plasma fluctuations, genetic expression levels, etc.) and health results data. Projects will include pioneering studies worldwide established by the unit – such as blood donor studies in the United Kingdom, which include approximately 150,000 blood donors in the United Kingdom and BELIEVE, and a family survey of approximately 75,000 adults in Bangladesh – as well as extensive international vital banks such as the biological bank in the United Kingdom, our future health, and all and so on. Projects will benefit from close cooperation with CEU and DPPHPC teams, as well as at the national level (for example, collaborators in the Human Development Report in the United Kingdom). *The appointment depends on the level of a participant researcher on obtaining a doctorate degree (or equivalent experience), including those who have provided a PhD but they have not yet obtained it. In the event that a doctorate degree is not yet obtained, the appointment will be granted initially to a researcher assistant and amended to a participant researcher upon granting a doctorate (the doctorate must be awarded within 6 months of the start date).*
Money allocated to these jobs is available until March 31, 2028.
