Reports to: Head of the Cloud Efficiency Center

The National College in Ireland is looking for an innovative post -doctoral participant researcher to join the cloud efficiency center (CCC). The individual is expected to conduct research on computer systems, with a wide interest in systems engineering and high performance computing (HPC).

The successful candidate will be affiliated with CCC, a center linking HPC, data analyzes, open data and advanced digital skills, as we realize the advanced work scene and provide a flexible work environment to accommodate our diverse team.

Main responsibilities:

  • Development and implementation of a work program that is in line with the goals of the project portfolio funded by the European Union such as CCC
    • Development and deployment of software instructions;
    • Writing graduate and training materials units;
    • It composes project delivery;
    • Writing and presenting conference papers; and,
    • Writing press articles.
  • Contribute to developing and strengthening the center’s research file.
  • Cooperation in appropriate research activities in Ireland, and when conditions allow this, abroad in the relevant areas of the subject.
  • Doing any other reasonable duties requested by CCC president.

Required qualifications and experience:

  • PhD in computer science or closely related specialty.
  • Strong coding skills in C/C ++/Python/Java, a strong practical knowledge and experience in HPC platforms and software engineering principles.
  • Skills of dealing with relevant others and the ability to build fruitful business relationships with diverse researchers and senior employees in an international environment.
  • The ability to achieve a balance between research tasks and the final dates competing in projects funded by the European Union.

Employment conditions:

salary: 37,271 euros – 57,027 euros (first academic salary).

annual leave: 34 days.

a contract: The full -time job for a fixed period of 24 months begins on the fifth of January 2026 or immediately after.
