About the role:

Professor Barbara Cassady, President of the NHLI, was recently appointed Editor-in-Chief of JAMA Cardiology. This post is an essential role, responsible for managing the editorial office of the JAMA Cardiology journal based at NHLI at Imperial College London. The post holder will work with the Editor-in-Chief and other staff to manage the editorial and peer review process and coordinate publication of the journal.

what would you do:

You will be responsible for independently organizing workflow, reporting, and editorial office operations by following policies and procedures established by JAMA Network journals. This includes coordinating manuscript submission, peer review, and preparation for online/print publication. To do this, you will work effectively with the Editor-in-Chief, other editors, peer reviewers, and JAMA Network staff based in the USA.

You will have proven editorial management experience and a university degree in a related field. You will have knowledge of the scientific and medical publishing process and excellent communication and organizational skills.
