How to contribute as part of the TRCA team:
The first project manager (forest services) is responsible for managing many forest projects and complex forest administration, while supervising the team within the sub -unit of forest services. The first project manager cooperates with TRCA teams, project partners and stakeholders to manage, plan, develop and implement complex forest projects with high levels of risk. This role is managed by important relationships with stakeholders while providing objective technical experience in forest, afforestation and forest management programs.
Main responsibilities:
- It is used as a recorded vocational testimony (RPF) to allow forest operations and activities on TRCA and partner lands
- It provides technical expertise, leadership and guidance in planning and implementing the areas of the forest administration project including forest science, dangerous trees management, forest management planning, tax incentive plans for managed forests, forest transplant recipes, re -afforestation and afforestation, gaseous species management, trees protection planning, forest health monitoring and reporting.
- It leads and develops partnership projects and programs between municipalities and agencies and fees for service for service to increase the benefit of guaranteed financing to achieve the common goals of forests or forest management.
- It defines the goals and goals of the project, develops project monitoring procedures and quality assurance activities for projects, and develops methods of measuring performance and preparing reports on it

What will you need to succeed:
Education (degree / diploma / certificates / licenses)
- A university degree in environmental sciences, environmental management or forests
- A professional forest (RPF) at the Ontario Forest Association
- Approval of the managed forest plan (MFPA)
- Ontario pesticide license (land or forests)
- A valid driver license from Ontario G2 category
expertise
- Experience and understanding environmental legislation, including but not limited to: forest law, Crown Forest Sustainability LawAnd the law of migratory birds and internal regulations for preserving forests/trees, public lands law and regional policy statement
- More than 5 years of experience in managing multidisciplinary forest projects In the relevant field With the minimum guidance, while achieving the effective balance between political and societal interests and stakeholders and fulfilling the final dates of the project
