Due to an increasing number of doctoral students, UNICAF is seeking to employ qualified doctoral thesis supervisors for full-time and part-time collaboration across a wide range of disciplines in the educational and social sciences.

Key responsibilities

• Supervising the research projects of doctoral candidates in education and social sciences and related fields, primarily in asynchronous mode.
• Guiding students in developing research proposals, methodologies, and scientific writing.
• Provide detailed, constructive and timely feedback on submitted work.
• Teacher candidates in preparation for advancement reviews and doctoral examination.
• Acts as an examiner for doctoral theses when required.
• Support students in preparing research outputs for publication in peer-reviewed journals.
• Facilitate candidates’ professional development, including conference presentations and networking.
• Maintain accurate supervision records, progress reports, and examination documentation.
• Contribute to asynchronous online teaching in doctoral level teaching modules.

About you

• Doctoral degree in education, social sciences or closely related fields.
• Proven experience in supervising doctoral and/or master’s theses.
• Strong record of publications in peer-reviewed journals.
• Experience teaching online is desirable.
• Excellent interpersonal, communications and IT skills (e.g., Moodle, MS Office).
• High proficiency in English.
• A collegial, flexible and student-centred approach.
