Department Secretary, University of Cambridge
The School of Modern and Medieval Languages ​​and Linguistics is looking for an enthusiastic and versatile individual with excellent administrative skills for the role of Department Secretary, providing general administrative support primarily across the Slavic, Italian and Modern Greek Studies departments and in the College Office. This is an exciting time to join a large, complex and welcoming faculty with an exceptional international track record in teaching and research.
Working in a team of six within the undergraduate management team, the role holder will support the college and its five component departments in delivering university teaching and examinations. You will also provide administrative assistance to the Department Coordinators and College Vice Chancellor to support other college-wide and department-specific activities, and will cover receptionist duties in the College Office as needed.
The successful candidate will be a well-organized and adaptable team player with a commitment to providing quality service to students, staff and other stakeholders. You will be adept at managing competing priorities and be able to move between tasks at short notice to meet deadlines. You will work collaboratively within your immediate team, across staff services and the school, sharing best practice and facilitating continuous improvement.
