The MRC Biomed Biomatic Unit at Cambridge University offers an exciting opportunity for post -PhD research, which has an interest in developing a new statistical methodology with clinical applications. The job holder will work in the Dr. Oscar Ruwaida Research Group, which is part of the topic of Precision Medicine Bsu research, and will contribute to the development of a diagnostic and monitoring system for breast cancer patients. The project includes the expansion of the Roada et al (Nature 2019) and the combination of concepts and techniques from a survival survival analysis, the analysis of underlying variables, and automated learning methods. Various data collections (clinical, genomine, copy, and images dependent) will be needed to build a model that can be clinical.

Candidates for this position should have a doctorate degree in statistics or related specialization. The scientific computing skills and efficiency of R / vital conductors are required. It will be desirable to experience cancer research, including the practical understanding of the calculations for the analysis of the cancer genome using the next generation sequence data, but it is not necessary. Due to the nature of this project, a cooperative approach is needed to work for this position, as well as the ability to communicate and interact with colleagues from other backgrounds.
