Required application materials:

Bilingual Writing Sample: A non-confidential legal document (memorandum, brief, or analysis) drafted entirely in English and the target foreign language. American litigation

Writing Sample: A non-confidential sample from a US District Court or CAFC applicant’s submission that is substantially worded (e.g., construction of claim or summary judgment).

Litigation Experience List: A short list of 5-10 significant U.S. patent cases detailing the applicant’s specific role and materials (e.g., lead counsel at Markman, lead defense drafter).

Cover Letter Focus: Applicants should use the cover letter to explicitly communicate their bilingual skills with favorable results achieved in a US patent case.

US Litigation Writing Sample: Non-confidential sample provided by the applicant from a US District Court or CAFC filing.

List of Litigation Cases: A short list of 5-10 important US patent cases detailing the applicant’s specific role.

Cover Letter: You should detail a scenario linking bilingual skills to a favorable U.S. case outcome.
