Associate Professor (Teaching) / Systematic Pathways Lead at University College London
The Department of Clinical, Educational, and Health Psychology Research is part of the Department of Psychology and Language Sciences (PALS) at UCLA. Psychology at UCL is ranked fourth in the world in the 2024 Shanghai University Rankings. This reflects the excellent links between teaching, professional training and research within PALS.
The UCL Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy) is the largest training course for clinical psychologists in the country with an annual intake of 91 clinical psychologists. The course adheres to a pluralistic ethos with the primary purpose of training NHS clinical psychologists who are compassionate, culturally humble, scholar-practitioners able to engage with multiple perspectives.
DClinPsy has an established, AFT-accredited foundation course in Systematic Theory and Practice (Foundation Track) and we have also piloted a new intermediate systems track for which the program will seek initial accreditation from the AFT in 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity to join DClinPsy as a Systemic Pathways Leader. In addition to (co)leading the systemic pathways within the course, the post holder will provide a systemic perspective to DClinPsy in relation to the curriculum and its overall delivery. They will also contribute to DClinPsy through teaching, tutoring, and intermediate level reviews and assessments.
About the role

This role is part time with a rate of 0.4 FTE (2 days per week).
