About the role

Maintenance technician – 40 hours a week from Monday to Friday. We are seeking a skilled technician and driving plumbing to join our real estate and facilities team. You will play a major role in ensuring the smooth operation of our campus facilities by carrying out legal maintenance tasks, as well as interactive repairs and simple business. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual, a follow-up with the Can-Do position.

Main responsibilities

• Performing the tasks of legal plumbing, including inspections and testing to ensure compliance with health and safety rules.
• Implement the planned and interactive maintenance and simple work on plumbing systems, including pipes, sanitary tools, sanitation,
• Diagnosing and repairing errors in plumbing facilities through campus facilities.
• Response immediately to the struggle of the explanation in emergency situations and the solution to problems efficiently to reduce the disorder.
• Cooperation with other maintenance teams and contractors to support the broader facilities projects.
• Maintaining accurate records of complete work, and ensuring compliance with university policies and procedures.
• Adhere to high health and safety standards, and adhere to all relevant regulations and guidelines.

Qualifications and skills

necessary:

• NVQ level 2/3 in plumbing or the equivalent of recognized rehabilitation.
• An experiment installed in plumbing maintenance, perfectly in a commercial or direct sectoral environment.
• Knowing the requirements of the legal compliance with plumbing systems (for example, the Corps test, the water regulations).
• Strong skills to solve problems and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills and clients -focused approach.
• A proactive position, it cannot be with an obligation to provide high -quality work.

desirable:

• Infinitely for Building Management Systems (BMS) or other facilities management programs.
• Additional qualifications in relevant deals (for example, gas safety, heating systems).

The full driving license in the UK and the ability to participate in hours outside the Rota range is essential.
