The MAX Planck Institute for Dynamics and Self-Organization (MPI-DS) is in Göttingen, Germany, an international, multidisciplinary and cooperative environment that provides an exceptional research environment. The LMP section participates in a wide range of theoretical research aimed at understanding the dynamics of living systems from a material perspective. Your profile

We are looking for excellent, enthusiastic and self -motivated researchers with related backgrounds and good communication skills to join our research team.

The perfect candidate must be:

  • Doctorate degree/DVHil (or comparable) with a background in theoretical physics, applied mathematics, or related specializations from a recognized university;
  • Previous experience with nonequilibrium statistical physics and strong attention in active material physics;
  • The ability and desire to work in an international team on multidisciplinary research topics;
  • Good English driving, which is the work language in the department. German is the origins but it is not required.
